The UltraViolight Plus model 300 UVP
combines two powerful air purification technologies--UltraViolight
gericidal irradiation UVGI and photolysis--to combat and control
potentially harmful contaminats.
UVGI is a part of the spectrum of electromagnetic energy generated by
the sun. Germicidal UV has been widely used for more than 40 years in
healthcare, food processing, and pharmaceutical facilities to actively
"kill" bacteria and viruses by destroying their DNA. Now this same
microbial control technology is available to the homeowner.
In addition to UVGI the specially designed UltraViolight Plus lamps
produce a controled amount of trivalent oxygen--also know as ozone--via
an oxidation reaction known as photolysis. In-duct oxidation reaction
chamber. Ozone provides increased effectiveness against molds and mold
products over UVGI alone. It also breaks down and destroys unpleasant
odors. (An ozone-free UltraViolight model is also available.)
The return-air-duct installation of the UltraViolight Plus central air
purifier creates a "microbial kill zone" where it is needed most. This
location enables ozone to penetrate into the coil, drain pan, and other
downstream HVAC ssytem components that are particularly susceptible to
mold and fungal growth. Return-air-duct mounting also allows the ozone
to dissapate prior to entering the living space.
Unlike lamp units mounted on one side of the duct, the transverse
mountiung of the extra long lamp ensures complete coverage across the
entire duct, even in larger duct sizes up to 20 inches. The
UltraViolight Plus can be quickly installed by Clean Air into virtually
any duct system whether metal, fiberglass duct board, or round pipe.
UltraViolight Plus models are independantly tested and certified by ETL
to stringent UL standards. State-of-the-art safety features include and
electrical interlock switch that instantly deactivates the lamp if the
protective cover is removed, to prevent any accidental eye or skin
exposure to the UV emisisons. |
